Commemorating the 10th anniversary of its Nexa premium dealership network, Maruti Suzuki has introduced a special all-black edition of its Nexa’s flagship SUV – the Grand Vitara SUV. Called the Maruti Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition, this model comes in an exclusive Matte Black paint scheme. The carmaker says it has been designed “to resonate with individuals who seek discerning style and sophistication in every drive.” It’s the first Maruti model in India to feature a Matte black paint scheme.

Maruti Grand Vitara Black Edition – Booking Details & Rivals
Bookings for the new Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition are now open across all Nexa dealership. Prices, however, are yet to be revealed. This all-black edition is positioned against the Skoda Kushaq in Carbon Steeel Grey Matte, Kia Seltos X Line and Volkswagen Taigun in Carbon Steel Grey Matte.
Maruti Grand Vitara Black Edition – Highlights
Based on the Alpha+ hybrid variant, the Maruti Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition features a special matte black finish and a de-chromed, blacked-out grille and 17-inch alloy wheels in gloss black finish. Inside, the Maruti Grand Vitara black edition features all-black cabin with champagne gold accents and perforated faux leather upholstery.

Maruti Grand Vitara Black Edition Engine
Powering the Maruti Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition is the 1.5L, 3-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine, paired with an electric producing power worth 79bhp and 141Nm of torque. Its combined power output stands at 116bhp. Transmission duties are performed by an e-CVT gearbox. Similar to the regular Alpha hybrid variant, the special black edition comes with the AllGrip Select AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
