
Mahindra & Mahindra has announced its plan to introduce seven new born-electric SUVs by 2030. Among them, the BE 6 and XEV 9e are already on sale and have been generating volumes for the carmaker since their arrival earlier this year. The EV lineup will soon be joined by the Mahindra XEV 7e, which will essentially be the 7-seater version of the XEV 9e. This new Mahindra EV will share several elements with the XUV700 SUV.
4 Electric SUV Concepts – Thar, Scorpio, XUV700?
Besides this, the homegrown automaker is set to unveil its all-new Freedom NU platform along with the four new electric SUV concepts on August 15, 2025. The concept SUVs have been teased as Vision T, Vision S, Vision X and Vision SXT. The Mahindra Vision T and Vision S concepts are expected preview the electric Thar and Scorpio SUVs, respectively. While the Vision X concept is likely to hit at the XEV 7e (electric XUV700), the Vision SXT could be a pickup truck based on the Thar SUV. Official details of these Mahindra EV concepts will be revealed next month.
New-Gen Bolero & Bolero EV
The homegrown carmaker has also confirmed the new-generation Bolero and Bolero EV for 2026. The all-new Mahindra Bolero (ICE-powered) is likely to be the first model to debut with the brand’s new Freedom NU platform.

While Mahindra hasn’t yet officially revealed the launch timelines for its upcoming electric SUVs, market reports indicate that the XEV 7e (electric XUV700) is likely to debut in late 2025. The Bolero EV is expected to arrive in the second half of 2026, followed by the Thar EV in 2026. The Scorpio EV might hit the roads sometime in 2026 or 2027.
